Sycamore Museums
The Midwest Museum of Natural History provides visitors with a look at the evolution of animals over thousands of years. A variety of mammals, reptiles and birds from North America, Africa are on display. An interactive section of the museum allows children to learn by doing. Other facilities include a library, a theater and traveling exhibits.
Containing significant artifacts, the Sycamore Historical Society & Museum invites guests to visit. Some of the collections include war memorabilia, weapons and items made in the city. The museum is located in a preserved heritage building that was once a hospital. The museum is open year-round on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 1pm, and from June to November on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm as well.
