The Lorado Taft Field Campus is a typical campus. The area is on the same property of the Eagle's Nest Art Colony (1898-1942) and even uses some of the original buildings. Focusing on environmental education, the grounds provide meeting rooms for conferences, a dining hall and dormitories that sleep up to 165 people. The Kishwaukee College of Malta offers certificates, degrees and customized training for students, as well as continuing education for adults. The Campbell Center's opened its doors in 1853 and has been in continuous use to educate students. It started out as a seminary and today teaches courses on historic preservation and care of artifacts. The campus was adopted to the National Register of Historic Place in 1980.
