The Mississippi Palisades State Park boasts unique caves and cliffs from years of erosion. Rock climbing on the bluffs is a popular past time, as well as fishing, camping, boating and hunting. In the winter the park is open for cross-country skiing and ice fishing. There are picnic areas and a concession stand for snacks and drinks. The park is located 3 mi (5.4 km) north of Savanna off of Route 84.

The Marquette Park of Savanna is filled with murals and beautiful scenery, as it sits along the banks Mississippi River. Some of the facilties offered here include several boat launces and picnic areas, including a shelter.

Located at the north end of Savanna's Main Street, Monument Park remembers the early days of the town. A monument stands on the site where the first white settlers, the Pierce family, erected a tepee to live in. Interpretive signs can be found, explaining the history of the area.
