Sandwich Museums
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Museums in Sandwich, IL, Illinois.
The Stone Mill was first built in 1856 as a flour mill along the Sandwich Stream. The building was rebuilt in 1883 after a fire destroyed it. By the early 1900s, the mill was used to manufacture various parts, and later acted as the town's fire station. Today much of Sandwich's history is housed inside the building, including photos, tools and various artifacts. It is open from April 1 to September 30 on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm or by appointment.
