The Lowden-Miller State Park is mainly used for hunting, hiking and cross-county skiing. The 2,225-acre (900-hectare) forest boasts excellent numbers of deer and turkey. The deer season has two sets of dates for firearm hunting, one the third week of November and the other during the first week of December.
