Oregon Parks & Gardens
Castle Rock State Park is 3 mi (5 km) south of Oregon along the Rock River. Limestone bluffs with winding pathways provide guests with scenic views of the area. Activities at the park include picnicking, canoing and hiking.
The Lowden-Miller State Park is mainly used for hunting, hiking and cross-county skiing. The 2,225-acre (900-hectare) forest boasts excellent numbers of deer and turkey. The deer season has two sets of dates for firearm hunting, one the third week of November and the other during the first week of December. Turkey can be hunted in the last week of October for handguns and from October 1 to January 12 for archers.
