The Freedom Bell in Mount Morris was dubbed by Ronald Reagan in 1963 as the Illinois official Freedom Bell. A replica of the bell can be seen in the town square tower. On the Fourth of July, thousands of people meet in the square as the bell is rung to celebrate the States' independence.
