German Valley Historical Museum
The German Valley Historical Museum boasts a collection of artifacts significant to the town and area. Many of the settlers came from Germany, which the museum addresses in some displays. A kitchen, dining room, school room and military area are decorated in pieces collected through the year, and a farm equipment display is also on-site. The museum is open between June and November, or by appointment.

Garnhart's Oliver Museum
Farming has been a big part of the life in Illinois, and the Garnhart's Oliver Museum explores these roots through its collection of Oliver Hart-Parr farm equipment. Some of the pieces date back to the 1860s and include antique tractors, machinery, toys, ads and collectibles. The museum is open by appointment or by chance.
