Russell Woods Forest Preserve
Located 1 mi (1.6 km) west of Genoa on Route 72 is the Russell Woods Forest Preserve. This area has numerous facilities for guests to enjoy, including a camp ground, trails, fishing and canoing areas and much more. A Nature Center is found in the preserve as well, and offers numerous classes and informative discussions for interested people.

Chamberlain Park
Guests can have a picnic, play a game of volleyball or swing in the playground at Genoa's Chamberlain Park. Encompassing 15 acres (6 ha) of spaces, the recreational area includes a skatepark, an aquatic center, tennis courts and soccer fields.
