Visitors can enjoy a picnic along the Mississippi as they watch a variety of boats sail by the US Lock and Dam #13. This area is on the National Register of Historic Places. From the end of May until the beginning of September guests can go on a guided walking tour of the facilities. The tour leaves at 1pm from the observation deck. A boat launch, camping facilities and scenic views are also found at the dam.
