Franklin Creek Grist Mill & Interpretive Center

Set on the original site of the water-powered mill built in 1847, the replicated structure takes guests into the early days in Franklin Grove. An impressive four-ton wheel is moved by water from a spring, which at one time was ground corn meal and wheat flour. The Franklin Creek Grist Mill is disabled accessible and has a gift shop, an interpretive trail, fossil viewing and other displays. It is open from April to October, on Thursdays through Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.
