For more than a quarter of a century, the people of Franklin Grove have celebrated their farming roots with the Summer Harvest Festival. The event is held the first weekend in August at the Chapel Creek Historic Site and at other venues around the village. Activities include tours of the historical areas, a parade, a tractor race, a street dance and various contests.
