The Petunia Festival has been entertaining the people of Dixon since the mid-1960s. Events include a parade, pancake breakfasts, contests, live music, craft shows, garden dances and much more. A fireworks display is held, as this festival always takes place over the July 4th holiday weekend. The activities are in different locations throughout the city.
